Our Leadership

Tracy Whitfield serves as Executive Director, leading the Coalition’s strategy, partnerships, and policy agenda to advance data driven advocacy and equitable outcomes for under resourced small businesses across Massachusetts

Tracye Whitfield

Executive Director

Tracy Whitfield is the Executive Director of the Coalition for an Equitable Economy (CEE), where she leads statewide efforts to strengthen the business support ecosystem serving under resourced small businesses across Massachusetts, particularly Black, Latino, Indigenous, and other BIPOC owned businesses. She oversees CEE’s strategy, partnerships, and policy agenda, ensuring the organization’s work is grounded in data, informed by member organizations, and responsive to real time conditions facing small businesses.

Under Tracy’s leadership, CEE successfully transitioned in 2025 from a fiscally sponsored initiative to an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, expanding its capacity to build durable infrastructure, deepen coalition power, and advance systems level change. Her work focuses on aligning data, policy, and collective action to remove structural barriers to capital, markets, and opportunity, because closing the racial wealth gap requires coordinated and sustained action across the ecosystem.

Our Support Staff

CEE’s support team keeps the Coalition running day to day, supporting operations, communications, and events so our members and partners can stay focused on advancing an equitable small business economy.
